### Lesson Outline:
#### Introduction (10 Minutes)
1. **Greeting and Roll Call:**
- Teacher greets students and takes attendance.
- Briefly discuss the importance of martial arts in physical education.
2. **Introduction to Taekwondo:**
- Show a brief video or use visual aids to explain the origin of Taekwondo (Korea, 1940s and 1950s), meaning ("Tae" – foot, "Kwon" – fist, "Do" – way), and fundamental principles (courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit).
#### Warm-Up (10 Minutes)
1. **Dynamic Stretching:**
- Head and neck rotations
- Arm circles
- Trunk twists
- Leg swings
2. **Light Cardiovascular Activity:**
- Jogging in place
- High knees
- Jumping jacks
#### Main Activity (30 Minutes)
1. **Basic Stances:**
- **Attention Stance (Charyot Sogi):**
- Feet together, arms at sides.
- Students practice coming to attention upon hearing "Charyot."
- **Ready Stance (Junbi Sogi):**
- Legs shoulder-width apart, arms slightly bent in front.
- Students practice transitioning from attention to ready stance.
2. **Basic Movements:**
- **Forward Stance (Ap Kubi):**
- One leg forward, bent at the knee, back leg straight, weight evenly distributed.
- Practice moving into forward stance and returning.
- **Basic punches and blocks:**
- Jab and cross punches.
- Basic blocking techniques (low block and middle block).
#### Practice and Drills (20 Minutes)
1. **Partner Drills:**
- Pair students up and have them practice basic movements against each other with control and respect.
2. **Solo Drills:**
- Shadow practice, performing stances and movements in place.
#### Cool Down (10 Minutes)
1. **Static Stretching:**
- Hamstring stretch
- Quadriceps stretch
- Shoulder stretch
- Wrist and ankle rolls
2. **Breathing Exercises:**
- Deep breathing in and out to relax.
#### Conclusion (10 Minutes)
1. **Group Discussion:**
- Reflect on what was learned today.
- Discuss the importance of respect and discipline in Taekwondo and everyday life.
